2022 Greene County Digital Orthoimagery Project - In the Spring of 2022 Greene County obtained new aerial LiDAR covering the entire county (+/- 416 sq. miles). The aerial LiDAR was acquired at a point density average of 1-meter with products including LAS (ground and above ground points), ESRI Raster and ASCII (both of which are ground only points). The aerial LiDAR was collected during leaf-off conditions during the spring 2022 flying season (March-April). The LiDAR is being delivered as a countywide dataset, consisting of 2,500' x 2,500' tiles (which matches the ortho tiling system). Along the perimeter of the project area, LiDAR is buffered at 100-feet beyond the countyline. Adjacent flight lines overlap by an average of 30 percent. LiDAR was collected with Leica ALS LiDAR System. The file naming convention is as follows: asxxxyyy (Ohio South Zone); Please note that xxx and yyy represent the easting and northing coordinates (respectively) in state plane feet. Each LiDAR file is approximately 10-20 megabytes in size. Ownership of the data products resides with Greene County and the state of Ohio. LiDAR and ancillary data products produced through this contract are public domain data. |
